Restaurant Checklist
Thank you for joining the Beirut Box initiative. Below is a simple checklist to help you get on-boarded. Please go through it and let us know if you have any questions:
Create / decide the items that will feature in your “Beirut Box”. This is up to you!
Note that we found restaurants who create a sampler box with Lebanese inspired food (whether food or desert) have had the most sales so far, but if you prefer having an item instead, it’s up to you.
Let us know what portion of the proceeds you will donate to "Beirut Emergency Fund ". The percentage / number is up to you.
Post the “Beirut Box” items on your online menu - and in store menus if possible - and clearly mark those items as “Beirut Box”. Consider adding a note that proceeds from those items will be donated to relief efforts in Lebanon.
Inform your staff of the initiative and ensure they know the basics about the donations and to share the Beirut Box insert/sticker with customers.
We will drop (or email) printouts of inserts & a leaflet. They briefly explain to patrons how to take part in Beirut Box.
If relevant, post Beirut Box items on all other relevant order websites (doordash, grubhub, ubereats, etc.)
If possible, add Beirut Box donation link and Beirut Box logo posted on restaurant website. Use the following sentence:
Please consider ordering the “Beirut Box”. Proceeds will be donated to the relief efforts in Lebanon following the Beirut explosion.
Prepare social media posts to announce to your followers your Beirut Box items (You can find Beirut Box’s social medial handles on this website).
Final Step:
Please share who will be the point of contact on your end as well as a link and the name of the restaurant as you would like to display it on the Beirut Box website. Fill the form here and confirm that all other steps have been finalized
After launch please:
Send us a picture of your “Beirut Box” items if you’d like us to promote it.
Plan to report weekly the number of Beirut Box items sold. We’ll be reaching out by email.
Plan to report the amount you will be donating to the “Beirut Emergency Fund”. The Beirut Emergency Fund is hosted by SEAL (a 501(c)3 organization. Info for donations are here
Thank you so much for your solidarity!
